Electric Sizzix EClips

The electric Sizzix EClipsis the first digital die cutting machine released from sizzix. It works by placing a cartridge, that conatains pre designed die, into the hand held unit that alows you to customize the size, quantity, and parts of a die.

I dont personally own the electric Sizzix EClips yet, but I have had the opportunity to play around with a demo EClips at CHA, and what can I say it was amazing, you can do so much with this tool.

The electric Sizzix EClips enables you to cut out different dies in different sizes, in whatever color you want but what is really cool about this machine is, you can cut out different parts of each die.

I know this sounds confusing so let me explain.

If you want to cut out a tree die, but you dont want the entire thing to be green, then you specify that you only want to cut out the leave part and you use green paper.

Then you use the hand held control that comes with the electric Sizzix EClips and cut out the base in brown.

Electric Sizzix Vagabond

There has been lots of talk about the newest member to the electric Sizzix family, the Tim Holtz designed electric Sizzix Vagabondwill be released for sale sometime around September. I cant wait to get my hands on this paper crafting tool, not only does it do everything that the big shot express did, but it is super portable.

Also it is very artistic, which we have come to expect from Tim Holtz, sporting a beat up vintage suitcase look that is wonderful. As a scrap booker I know that it isn’t about how the tool looks its about how it functions, and I expect that the electric Sizzix Vagabond will perform as good as its predecessor the Sizzix Big Shot Express.

I am very excited to purchase this tool, I love my electric Sizzix

big shot express but now that Tim Holtz has designed the Sizzix Vagabond I might be ebaying my old Sizzix.

The Sizzix Vagabond is rumored to begin  shipping in September, and I have not found any websites that are taking orders yet. When the Sizzix Vagabond is finally released I expect it will be difficult to get my hands on one because it will probably sell out very quickly.

It was getting very tough for me to use my old Sizzix Big Shot because I have very bad arthritis and had difficulties turning the handle. I finally made the switch to an electric sizzix boy am I happy.

All I have to do now is push the button on my electric sizzix and it does the job for me. My electric sizzix is my most used tool and I have used it to make many beautiful creations.

What to think about when purchasing an electric sizzix

The electric sizzix is much quicker than the hand cranked version, as a matter of fact my electric sizzix has saved me so much time and pain that I would of payed triple the price that I found it for.
